Concept of Truth (Part 4)

"AUXI, AUXI, AUXI", I screamed at the top of my lungs, as if I loved her....insanity must have come because of the chaos. Dust and smoke filled the street, fire glowed in the distance, the cries of thousands didn't seem to be enough.

I can trust her....

Auxi sat in a alley, head in her hands, ash covered and shaking. "Are you okay?", "Auxi, talk to me, are you hurt?"

"Why would I be hurt?", she smiled and lost me in another smile. "The day is almost done, sit with me"

I couldn't make sense of it, so why try? The best thing I could've done was wait it out, so I sat next to her cold soul, a dark presence of misfortune.

Adrenaline pumps through the body......glucose strains are released into the liver and kidneys, making the filtering process faster, a receptor picks up the signals of this release and tells muscles to react. Although this process occurred and a city lay in ruins my reaction was to sleep, a deep sleep, in the arms of the person who would lead me to hell, make me face my demons, and somehow, in the end, save me....

"Wake up, its morning". A hand rested on my face that wasn't mine, I opened my eyes only to see her face still covered in dust and lightened by a fresh sun. "We need a car, do you still know how to....."

"Auxi, what do (we) need a car for, I'm going by myself", I said this with reverence on my tongue and tried to give her some clue that I meant it.

Find me.......

Her eyes swirled and without a word she left the alley for the nearest vehicle, people on the street nearby ripped through stores and apartment buildings, gaining what valuables they could. "Auxi, stop", but it was too late, the car had started, and she waited for my entry. I sat down beside her, resting my head, equally disappointed in myself, a common thing in these days. "Lets go, D.C. is far enough, but its where things will get answered".

My eyes closed to enjoy what peace of mind was still there, the movement of the car felt real compared to what was witnessed the night before.

Auxi hit a button on the dash with the end of her thumb and the radio reception filled the car....
